David Gutmann

Executive Chairman

David is a co-founder of Praxis International. He works as an adviser in leadership to many managers both in France and abroad.

His vast experience was reinforced by a substantial conceptual education. As a former student at Sciences Po Paris and the Faculty of Law at Paris I University, he studied under Maurice Duverger and was influenced by the works of Wilfred Bion.

He has written several leading books and articles on institutional transformation and has lectured at Sciences Po as well as the National School of Administration (ENA). As executive vice president of the International Forum for Social Innovation (IFSI), he heads the Leading Consultation programme in partnership with the School of Management at Bath University (UK). Leading Consultation has trained several dozen managers and consultants over the last twenty years.

David is recognised internationally, having presided over the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Process (IAGP). He is regularly invited by universities abroad and has inspired and led numerous international workshops on institutional transformation in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.

As a man of action and of passion, David is a federal ski instructor and also enjoys tennis and rugby. He considers rugby to be a major source of inspiration for the business world.
